Information for Visitors

4 Kenwyn, Church Street, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly

Whatever your reason for visiting the beautiful Isles of Scilly, here is some information that will help your arrival onto the islands, along with information about Kenwyn 4.

Arriving by Air (Skybus)

If you arrive by Skybus from any of the three mainland airports, you’ll land directly on the main island, St Mary’s. There are minibuses at the airport waiting to transport you and your luggage to your accommodation for a reasonable charge. You can book your return to the airport with the driver who will tell you what time you will be collected on the day of departure.

Arriving by Sea (Scillonian)

If you travel on the ‘Scillonian’, you’ll dock in the main harbour on St Mary’s. Kenwyn 4 will take you around 10 minutes to walk too, through Hugh Town.  The walk is a pleasant stroll through the main high street, past the various shops, café’s and public houses that St Mary’s has to offer. You’ll go past the Co-op, which is a good opportunity to buy any provisions you may want for your holiday.

Getting to Kenwyn 4

At the end of the quay, you’ll go past the Mermaid Inn on your left. Turn left here to walk down the main high street. Walk through the town, past the Co-Op on your left until you reach the Town Hall on your right. At the Town Hall, the road forks. Take the right hand fork by the gardens on to Church Street. Walk up Church Street, and you’ll see The Bell Rock Hotel on your right. Kenwyn is a few doors on, on your right hand side. It has blue painted railings and a blue door, with ‘Kenwyn’ etched into the stained glass window above the door, and is almost opposite the Methodist Church.

Your luggage will arrive off of the Scillonian in a ship container, which you’ll see as you walk off the boar. For a small charge per bag, Island Carriers will deliver to Kenwyn 4. They will leave it in the main hallway with an invoice. You will need to go to their office in Porthmellon (a short walk away) to pay and to book for the return journey. They will then collect your luggage from the hall from 10am on your day of departure.
